This design offers the charm of a beachside cottage set in the convenience of a high-rise penthouse off the Florida Gulf coast. The penthouse at Portofino Towers was designed as a casual summer retreat, a space for relaxation and the escape of the familiarities of everyday life. The design offers a cooling blue color pallet to relax the body and mind with subtle splashes of bright colors to add excitement. A mixture of cotton chintz in various textures and patterns offer a seaside motif throughout the space. The living room draped in a sea of color dazzles on a clear summer day. The penthouse is informal in style and very transparent taking advantage of the sweeping views of the Gulf. A down filled sofa and white wicker chairs with overstuffed cushions offer a relaxing area for conversations or taking in a sunset. The refined combination of furnishings, draperies and accessories give the penthouse the seaside cottage experience the client was looking for.
